The final of Russian Karate Championship among cadets and juniors was conducted in Chelybinsk on August 23-24, 2003. Silver medal winner of the championship - Potapova Zhanna, bronze medal winner of the championship - Savelieva Anastasiya.

12th KOI WORLD CUP was conducted in Greece on July 19-20, 2003. The sportsmen of the sport club "Nika" from Engels and GUDO Center of sport single combat, repeated champion of Russia championship, 2-times winner of Europe Cup among young people Potapova Zhanna and her coach 23 times all-Russia karate champion, member of national Russian team, master of sports, international class Prikaztchikova Svetlana took part in it. In a worthy manner our sportsmen represented our region and Russia.

KARATE CUP OF EUROPE AMONG YOUNG PEOPLE

On the 13-14 of June the Karate Cup of Europe was conducted in Slovakia (Bratislava). Repeated champion of Russia Zhanna Potapova took part in it. Svetlana Prikazchikova is Potapova's coach. Zhanna Potapova is the winner of European Cup 1999, finalist of European Cup 2002, became the winner of European Cup 2003.

INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENT IN SPAIN

A very prestigious karate tournament was conducted in Santa-Cruz-de-Tenerife, Spain. Russian national combined team was invited to this tournament. Svetlana Prikaztchikova took part in this tournament as a member of the team. The team got bronze medal.

The style karate championship of Russia was conducted in Moscow in the center named after brothers Znamenskikh - a selective tournament to KOI World Cup (July 13-21, Athens, Greece). Sportsmen from sport club "NIKA" and "GUDO Center of sport combat" (SP), named after Svetlana Prikaztchikova more than in a worthy manner presented Saratov region. Silver winners in a personal championship are: Yana Maksimova and Zhanna Potapova, winners of the style championship are Anastassiya savelieva and Svetlana Prikaztchikova. Gold medals in a team championship won Zhanna Potapova, Ekaterina Kochetkova and Anastassiya Savelieva. They all are the students of Svetlana Prikaztchikova (Champion of Russia, sport master of international class). General secretary of the Russian National Karate Federation Alexsandr Inshakov congratulated sportsmen with such high sport results and said the words of gratitude to the governor of Saratov region - Dmitry Ayatskov for his help and support.
