Olympians' Ball was held on the 27th of December 2005 under social welfare of Saratov Region Ministry of Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism. Sport veterans, leading sportsmen of Saratov Region, heads of sport schools and federations were invited to it. Saratov Region Ministry of Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism presented a wonderful holiday to all participants and guests: flowers, original music, dancing collectives, presents to all guests, and real Father Frost with the Snow Maiden, food and drinks. We would like to mark the attention of Saratov Region Government. Deputy Chairwoman of Saratov Region Government N. I. Starshova personally visited this occasion and on behalf of the Governor of Saratov Region P. L. Ipatov and herself congratulated guests and participants. The most important thing is that her visit, civil servant of such high rank was not just formal. First of all N. I. Starshova applied to sport veterans with question about their living and other problems, she asked them to be frank because the Government of Saratov Region is really ready to help people, who bring glory to Saratov Region. N. I. Starshova together with the minister of physical culture, sport and tourism of Saratov region M. G. Vulahom took part in the procedure of issuing certificates 'sport master of international class' to several sportsmen. This sport holiday will stay in memory for a long time.

Russian Union of Martial Arts founded prizes for the best sportsmen in the field of martial arts, as acknowledgement by their homeland. National Prize got it name 'Golden Belt' not by chance, the master class in many martial arts is belt colour. The author and maker of the statue is he famous sculpture and karate master Alexandr Rukovishnikov.

Svetlana Prikatchikova became the Laureate of National Prize 'Golden Belt' from Saratov Region. Three fold Olympic champion Irina Rodnina issued this high prize to Svetlana Prikaztchikova. Famous politicians, government members, representatives of science and culture were present on this ceremony as honored guests. The prize is issued to Svetlana Prikaztchikova for high sport results in karate development in Russia .

The ceremony of issuing the First National Prize 'Golden Belt' will hold on the 28 th of November at 18.00 in the State Concert Hall ' Russia '. Russian Union of Martial Arts, uniting 35 leading federations of the country founded prizes for the best sportsmen in the field of martial arts. The best 10 sportsmen, whose names would be announced by special jury will get the statue with the picture of golden belt as acknowledgement by their homeland in this field.

5th WKC World Championship

The 5th WKC World Championship took place at Novi Sad, Serbia and Montenegro on 7-9 of October. Svetlana Prikazchikova, Manyfold Champion of Russia WKF, Karate Master of International Class participated as a member of National team of Russian Karate Confederation.
At this Championship Svetlana was actually announced in the karate discipline—Ippon-Kumite where the individual leg and arm means of defense are forbidden. The traditional karate is prestigious. The best sportsmen with stable psychology and set kicks participate in it and, what is the most important, they realize that the tournaments with naked fists are more than dangerous for the health.
Svetlana has been in this sport for 15 years and has unique achievements in this type of sport. 12 yeas one after another she became a Champion or a winner of Russia Championships—a unique case in the history of Russian Karate. She was bearing the idea to perform in the Ippon-Kumite discipline for a long time as she knows pretty well the main styles and directions in karate. She was thoroughly preparing for it.
The Women's National karate team included three sportswomen: Svetlana Prikazchikova, Julia Kerdyvar from Moscow and Natalia Grigorova from Murmansk. Going through the most complicated fights the team became a World Champion! To that our Svetlana was the first to fight thus she was a “fight starter”.
Svetlana Prikazchikova became a World Karate Champion in the team championship, but is not the whole success. Next day Svetlana, who has recently performed in a light-weight category, was announced in the absolute weight category from the Russian Karate Confederation. In the final Svetlana fail to score to a German sportswoman with a minimal score 1:2 and got one more silver medal for Russian team! Svetlana’s gold and silver at the WKC World Championship cost very “expensive”! To this Svetlana has already won 8 golden, 3 silver and 1 bronze medals during 2005 at All-Russian and International championships. There are more new fights ahead.
